👌 TASK X: Comprehensive Protection Protocol for Students

Activity Focus

⚡ According to the MRCDD, in this activity you will work with the following indicator:

  • Area 6. Development of Digital Competence in Students
  • Stage: B
  • Progression Level: B1
  • Competence: 6.4 Responsible Use and Digital Well-being
  • Indicator 1: 6.4.B1.1 Integrates in the teaching-learning processes situations aimed at helping students develop the knowledge, habits, and values to make safe, responsible, critical, healthy, and sustainable use of digital technologies.
  • Indicator 2: 6.4.B1.2 Teaches students to implement, from a technical point of view, the cybersecurity protocol established in the school’s digital plan in all actions where they must use digital technologies and provides guidelines to transfer these measures to other areas.

Task to be carried out

If we pay attention to what is established by the Organic Law 8/2021, of June 4, on the Comprehensive Protection of Children and Adolescents Against Violence (📚️ https://bit.ly/457iYta), we must be aware of the obligation to have, in all educational centers, a Comprehensive Protection Protocol for Children and Adolescents Against Violence, with special attention to situations that may arise through digital technologies.

In this voluntary and optional task, we will make ourselves available to the #CompDigEdu team at our center for the drafting of this protocol if it has not been created yet or requires revision and/or updating.

What elements are crucial to include in the document?
1️⃣ Draft a protocol to inform students about the procedures for communication in case of violence. Incident portals and phone numbers.
2️⃣ Initiatives to promote the appropriate use of the internet at all educational stages.
3️⃣ Draft, with the help of students, guidelines for action when situations of abuse are detected: communication systems, actions to be developed, coordinators for each action at the center, health staff, law enforcement, judiciary...
4️⃣ What dissemination actions will be carried out to ensure that the community is informed of the information included in the protocol.
5️⃣ Functions of the student well-being and protection coordinator: promote training plans for teachers, students, and parents; coordinate interventions requiring the attention of Social Services; identify as a reference in possible cases of violence; promote measures that encourage well-being; foster alternative methods for problem resolution; encourage respect for diversity...
